As children work this puzzle, not only will they become familiar with the geographical location of each state, but hey will hear the correct pronunciation of the states’ names, the capitals, and their nicknames. For example, when Maine is pressed, it says, “Maine, the Pine Tree State, state capital Augusta.” When each letter in the compass rose is touched it names the direction it is pointing (North, South, East, or West) The Pledge of Allegiance and “America the Beautiful” are also included.
