Thomas the Tank Engine Wooden Railway System

Boys and girls alike love playing with the Thomas the Tank Engine train set. They enjoy piecing the track together to make their own railway line and then driving the cars on the tracks. Children build fine motor skills and use problem solving skills to help figure out what will work. Basic experimentation with the Thomas and Friends cars introduces the wonders of magnets. If they turn the car one way, the magnets may repel, if one car is turned around, the magnets attract.

The Thomas videos/DVDs and the Thomas and Friends books by the Rev. W. Awdry may also help your child learn the various types of cars on a train and other vehicles used in the stories. This toy is made of wood and is certainly built to last. We’re planning on keeping this one for the grandchildren!
