Jump-Start Software

The Jump-Start Software series has material available for a wide variety of ages beginning with Toddlers and going up to 5th grade. They also have subject areas such as Art, Languages, Explorers, Math, and many more.

When our daughter was about 18 months old we mentioned to her pediatrician that she like to crawl in our laps and bang on the keyboard whenever she saw one of us working on the computer. Her doctor suggested Jump-Start Toddlers, so we gave it a try. It actually is a very neat program. It is designed to be used by the child while sitting in the lap of an adult. The game “Peek-a-Boo” helps your child learn the relationship between the monitor and the mouse. The game “Give the Dog a Bone” shows your child that the mouse can move objects. Other games provide rewards for tapping on the keyboard or moving the mouse while learning the alphabet, counting, shapes, musical instruments, and listening skills.

We have used many other games in the Jump-Start Software series. Every single one has been fun, educationally stimulating and very rewarding.
